Booting Schillix – Where’s amd64?

Once Schillix has been installed it can be booted.

However, there’s a a problem. The menu.lst file has this contents:

title SchilliX build-36 partition a
root (hd0,0,a)
kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -v
module$ /platform/i86pc/boot_archive

$ISADIR refers to amd64, but seems to be missing from the medium:

root@unknown:/# ls -al /media/SchilliX-0.7.1i/platform/i86pc/amd64/
total 8
drwxr-xr-x   2 root     sys         2048 Sep  4 01:37 .
drwxr-xr-x   5 root     sys         2048 Sep  4 02:58 ..

To temporarily get around that, replace:

kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -v

with

kernel$ /platform/i86pc/kernel/unix -v

and the system will boot.

Where AMD64 (64 bit support) is, I dunno….
